Day 5 - Anthro Head Study 01
Mixing anthro head design elements with elements of human facial proportions is just asking to fall into the uncanny valley, but I kind of like it here a little bit more than cartoony anthro head land. ;)
This was a late submission because I got hit by a massive wave of lethargy. I ended up playing a bit of the old fragfest shooters to get me fired up enough to draw before doing this. Arche has slightly unique ears in that she has them facing backwards instead of forwards as normally seen in sciuridae anthros.
Blurb on the right is inspired by the exchange me and a few other lulzers had with iowercase earlier today about pussing out of this drawing exercise/regime thing.

The side view looks a tad bit weird, I'd say. If it were to be more like a human face, the forehead should be convex and bulging outwards above the eye, and as an animal face, the general face shape should be longer and the outline of the area between the forehead and the nose should be more like a gentler slope rather than a... reverse 'L' shape. Idunno how I'd describe it, but right now, it's resembling more of an anime-face, which doesn't suit the frontal view.

Well, the front view is quite awesome, maybe a little trouble matching her left eye with the right, but other than that small problem it's a fantastic demonstration of your style :).
The side few has a few problems, the back of the head looks more human (except the ponytail seems a little weird to me somehow) it's sort of like the mouth was stuck onto a human head. And that doesn't quite work. There should be more of a gentle slope down to the jaws. Rather than them just jutting out. I'm trying to think of how this could be achieved without making it look more particularly feline in shape, but my best suggestion would just be to play around with it. Draw out the normal heads you do with human heads, compare and contrast, blend and match, see what works and what you like :).
Again great job on the frontal view, the side just needs a little work :)

Looks like cut-off skull on the head on the left. More convex at the top.

so bulgey is the human(oid) skull at the top. If you divide the skull in half horizontally, the jawbone should be about halfway.
