I am a firm believer in pain in transformations. I mean, please. Your changing into a wolf, or at least an anthropomorphic one. That's huge, MAJOR changes, both internal and exernal. It's not going to feel 'a slight prickling sensation' or anything. :P

I prefer magical ones that are painless unless you choose to make them painful as a punishment. And I was actually quoting your line. I don't think those exact words were in the book. But the concept's the same.

Oh, i forgot to comment on the story itself. I do like that you included how he was turned, but I'm kindof wishing you could have drawn it out a little more for the transformation. But maybe that's just me. As for the mental change that was nice. I don't understand the whole eyes changing to purple thing. BTW, that's another twilight thing, since all newborn vampires have blood red eyes. And what was it that he hunted and ate. Did he join the pack? Is the one that was in front the alpha male? Details, I need details! Also, I can't wait for the next chapter.

Um. o3o A fair number of transformation stories do colour change. And it isn't red. It's reddish-purple. D: Which is an AWESOME eye colour, mind you.
I purposely kept the transformation short and not very detailed. Main Transformation beggining is the next chapter.
