Turns out having a maximum aperture of f/5.6 is not good for dimly-lit stages. That is, not good for not blurry shots. :P

Looks like you were abusing that poor 55-250mm lens of yours. =)

It looks almost like a deep sea water glowing fish.

A 70-200mm Tamron f/2.8 (or Canon version) may have worked. =) Or maybe.. *starts drooling on the floor* a 7D shooting at 3200 ISO or 12800 ISO...

Ooh, lawd knows I'd love to have me a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM, but I'd need to save up for quite a while to afford one of those. :P
