Any pet owner knows that you need to groom, brush and upkeep your pet to keep its coat/skin clean and free of parasites. And a clean pet is a happy healthy pet.
And
oldtiger is a dutiful Warthog owner. Scrubbing away accumulated dirt, gun powder residue, fluids from its victims on the skin. Even aluminum skin needs the TLC too.
But we all know all to well, that a freshly washed pet will often shake itself all over the place and then rub itself in the grass or worse, Dirt.

Oh, hell no!...
Our Miniature Stallion would do this, after we spent the better part of two hours bathing, drying, grooming and painting his hooves, for our weekend jaunt into town to enjoy a picnic at the local park.
That little scamp would take ANY opportunity to *ROLL* in the damned dirt! He got away with that, twice, and I bathed him AGAIN, just outta spite!
LOL
So many fond memories...
Thanks for sharing this, though it's a tad off-topic from the aviation theme.

Actually, washing a real Hog is HARD. Been there, tried to do that. While my appreciation for crew chiefs was high before I started, it was a LOT higher after that little drill. Eeesh. Not as sucky as watching a tire change in a sleet storm, but still a royal pain. Years later, as a commander, my reaction to bitching about maintenance from the operators was often not what they expected. Amazing what you can learn by walking in another (enlisted)man’s shoes, if only for a few hours.
