Bombasto, by Orion Farrar, is one of the most famous circus marches of all time. We played this at a retirement community (our first concert with a new conductor, who did quite well), and it went down a treat with the residents. It was an outdoor concert which is why it sounds quite dry (though ironically, we almost got rained out - luckily, it cleared up after just a couple of sprinkles).
Everyone balanced well and played cleanly on this piece. I'm especially proud of how well the trombones, euphoniums, and tuba lined up on the runs - not an easy feat for 7 people.

What's worse is that it was something that I had really enjoyed, but the way things unfolded soured it for me.
Agreed. I've noticed that during the summer (when most of my groups are on hiatus), I tend to get a lot more irritable and lethargic, but once I'm playing a few times a week, I perk back up.
