because that pesky hair is just so intensive to model. :P joking. it really is.

I'd done this over shot before starting on the hair.

One of my major problems is that the 'chakat' doesn't really match any of the models the clothes/hair was made for. So rather than be able to place the clothes/hair on a figure and moving the figure moves the clothes/hair, I have to sort of 'set' things where I think they need to be (which is why I'm trying to see if I can make my own, the the other stuff will auto-fit and follow.)

I can see how that can be a pain..

It's like setting up a movie shot -- the only thing that really matters is how it looks in the result.

It reminds me a bit of the 'who framed Roger Rabbit' where they walk off a 'set' and you could see how 'wrong' everything was if not looked at just the right way.

Or some of the early silent films such as Buster Keaton's gags?

Like the perception sets of 'Attack of the 50 foot woman'. Everything has to be just right for it to work.
