I've been wanting to draw this one for something like a year....maybe not my best work and I should have done a background, but who has time for that.....
I love replicants and this one is the best....he should definitely be saved and come home with us and be our brother, that's what I think. Pike and I have been Fremen and scientists and I think we'd make pretty good scavengers, too...really I pick up anything shiny, I don't care what it is.
Besides which, men cuddling and kissing is my favorite thing in the universe, it's just alphanumerical.

Thank you! ^_^
Ohmigod yes, I haven't been so looking forward to a movie since....any time I can remember. I know it's still years away but I am so excited!! I really didn't care for the Lynch film, it followed the story well enough but the imagery was all wrong. Plus the special effects tech wasn't advanced enough to pull off something so grand. But after what he did with Blade Runner, I think Villeneuve will do a great job on this.

the Lynch film is a guilty pleasure for me.
yeah I really can't wait for Villeneuve take on the material. He actually wants to split it into two parts which might work. however I always felt like a TV series might do the book as well as the rest of the series justice. Heck, since Game of Thrones is ending, HBO might want to find another sprawling epic of a show under their belt.
After seeing 2049 as well as the rest of his films, I hope he will be the one to finally make it work. If Lynch,Jodorowsky, or Villeneuve can't do it, then no one can.
what do you think? Any hopes or fears?

Can't say there's anything that worries me...I saw the actor they've landed on to play Paul and he looks pretty well suited to the role to me. I'm really excited to see how the sandworms will be depicted with today's special effects. It will be a challenge conveying the grandness of their size and presence. And I hope the casting continues to follow the book's design, that's one of the things that disappointed me most with Lynch's film. Many of the characters didn't fit, especially Duncan and Gurney. I'm also glad they're not going to try and condense it all into one movie. And I'm eager to know what the ornithopters will look like, there have been as many designs for those as there have been artists drawing them.
I've also read that Villeneuve is working with Brian Herbert, which is probably going to piss a lot of people off. I've never heard anything positive said about him. But I don't see how you could make a movie like this without consulting the author's closest living relative. *shrugs*
