My father works as a mason with a landscaping company, and the other day while at a job site, dozens of baby snapping turtles came crawling out of the ground! They scooped them up and out of harms way, and my dad decided to bring one home for me.

We named him Peewee. At first he was living in a small fountain pond in our front yard, but he's so small something would have eaten him. So, I cleaned out our old fish tank, and now he's happily living in there. My father brought home a second turtle today, which we named Herman. =)
