Kwan is a complete mystery like his species. The city he resides in he arrived with two adoptive parents around a teenager. He went to school, got a job, and an essential love life; all the while being asleep. It was an enigma to most of how he successfully lived through his life all while being asleep. Many believed that he was faking, but the adoptive parents ran a twenty-four hour test on him; his entire time they saw nothing but delta waves. During freshman year of high school, he started lifting. He lifted more and more as the months went by, combined with good eating habits, gave him this behemoth body. At his current age he lives alone, does his daily routine, and gets paid by scientists for sleep studies.

Despite being asleep, Kwan's personality shines through. He is helpful, kind, considerate and gentle. He'll show his kindness to strangers; whether it be helping others cross the street, get something off the top shelf for someone, or help pay for some random person when they're short on cash. He hardly us angey and hardly ever experiences nightmares. His girlfriend is a Primarina.
