The Wandering Witch had made it to the Tiger Exhibit, doing her magic on Micah's co-worker, Charity. It wasn't long, however, that she soon turned on the crowd watching. Everyone soon started catching onto that lithe, feline beat. Tails swayed and paws shifted out of footwear. Children crawled onto all fours while the adults hobbled in confusion on their malformed hind legs. It was a chaotic, adorable sight to see for Charity and Micah.
Becky and Evelyn, meanwhile, were rather slow on the changes. They had managed to escape from the mass transformation, but not far enough to feel the effects take them, too. Both of them were letting what had just happened sink in, the words of the Witch clawing away whatever wasn't needed to be a cat. They had to be what she told them to be. Soon, their eyes glowed with feline want and the urge to spread it to all humans they could—everyone needed to be a cat.
By the time the changes had completely worked over their mentality, they had made it to the snack bar. Both found they still had the money in their hands and so they both went up to the snack vendor, purring as the fur began crawling on their bodies. He didn't seem to notice all that much, at first. He just saw their fur as just well-done paint, simply asking them what they wanted to have.
“Meat!” Becky purred. “Meat is so tasty, especially raw meat...you ought to try it.”
“Heh, no thanks, I prefer mine cooked.” He said, before showing what they had for that. The man didn't notice Becky's waving tail behind her or her swelling paws. The sprouting spots on Evelyn's body were completely ignored as they both stepped out of their shoes. They were beginning to hunch over as they leaned against the counter, huffing from their proto-muzzles. Only now, with them changed so far, did he think to look at them, gasping at the sight of a nearly feral Cougar and Jaguar.
The cougar shook off her pants as she looked at him with her amber eyes.
“But you shouldn't have to eat it cooked,” Becky licked her swelling lips. “Not if you're a cat like us...”
The snack custodian was completely entranced by that beautiful pair of eyes staring into his soul, searching for the smallest ember of wild passion. He was oddly silent, mumbling something indistinct when his own tail began to emerge over him. His newly formed claws dug into the tiling as he let out a deep mewl. The dark brown in his eyes was going away as it brightened to a feral amber, like Becky's. Becky purred with excitement. He was going to become her mate!
“Oh, I feel so grrroood!” He said brushing the clumps of hair off his flattening skull, the tawny fur spread all over him. “What's hrrappening to mew? I want to eat raw meat like you...but why? I am human, aren't I?”
“Do humans have tails as beautiful as ours?” Becky purred, climbing off the counter and padding around it to help the struggling male with his uniform. “Here, you silly cat. Let me help you with those...”
“Help me...purr-ease...” The snack vendor mewed meekly.
Evelyn managed to get out of her clothes just as Becky and her new mate began to tear off each other's fabric. It was nice that she had a mate, but Evelyn deserved one of her own. She preferred them, long, dark and mysterious—the night stalkers of the jungle. She'd leave her friend behind to search the Jaguar Exhibit for her dreamy panther.
