First off i just need to practice drawing humans, I think the drawings are hit or miss on the humans overall, figured to start with mostly frontal poses to get the gist of drawing human anatomy. But i think this would also be a good place to talk about drekir human relationships in the DragonScape, seeing as most of the Drekir were a human at some point or another, especially so once humans first start arriving into the DragonScape
Probably the first and most important thing to mention is that many of the humans going into the Americas, the vast majority, are under 40 years old. with the 40 years passing between the pulse and the dragonscape opening up as it were many of these humans grew up in a world without the Americas and only the rumors of what their governments would provide them. This is very VERY important to the perceptions of Drekir and humans
Of course there is regional differences because different human powers take part in different areas of the dragonscape and that effects perceptions of humans by drekir. In the US/Canadian NorthWest, the humans are seen negatively because they are kidnapping people to try and find a cure, which often kills the drek kidnapped. Whereas on the other side of the coast in the US/Canadian NorthEast, they are seen a lot more charitably by non cultish drekir due to humanitarian aid. Where as Central and South American countries tend to see the West Africans on the East coasts as a tad bit hostile and to be careful around them and the Indians and Chinese on the Eastern coasts to be well meaning but a bit pushy and authoritarian.
But what about the smaller scale relationships between humans and the tiny dragons that they are now seeing?
Well there are a lot of misconceptions upon both the Common man and Average Drekir about the intentions from the other so lets get into that first!
1) Human misconceptions
Many humans are skeptical of the human nature in drekir, often seeing it as a ploy to gain trust and overall view the situation of the drekir in one of two ways. Either as humans turned into wierd animals that have simply "lost" their ability to be human in a sense and only act human to gain the trust of humans for their own gain. Or that they are a lost peoples in a new time that have grown savage under the surreal circumstances that they have faced. Some humans might also not believe that the drekir were once human at all (since they didnt witness the pulse with their own eyes) but i would bet that would get stamped out as cases of Drekification start coming in from magical exposure.
There is a minority of humans who might come to the dragonscape out of interest in drekir kind with motives to live their permanently or drekify themselves, we'll get into that later.
2) Drekir misconceptiosn
Drekir, especially early on will see humans as simply trying to take advantage of the situation, plying them with gifts and technology in return for something else. This misconception will either be confirmed or dispelled depending on what group of humans you are talking to. Or that the humans somehow avoided being turned into dragons and should be respected for essentially not getting pulsed. Their advanced technology also can help paint them as saviors of a way to the beleaguered drekir of some regions.
There are also drekir perceptions that the drekir are simply an improvement from humans and as such should reject human aid. "we've survived on our own why should we need your help or your tech? Clearly isn't doing you any good." Kinda thing
With all that outa the way, time to ramble about boring drawings and talk about dragonscape things, what else am i gonna do with my day anyways?
First off drekification! That first guy on the left doesn't look too hot. So something i wanted to get about drekifcation look wise are That it shouldn't look great, it shoud look wierd, unnatural, and all around kinda creepy instead of too fantastic. So there are two kinds of drekification (the process of, through magical exposure, turning from human to drek)
Instant Drekification is the easier one to explain. If a human overloads on magic via one big BURST of magic then they immediately undergo a painful process of drekification, this is basically what happened to all the humans of the Americas at the time of the pulse. The body is suddenly reshaped into the drekir form and usually only takes about 1-10 minutes. Leaving the new drek often unconscious for an extended period. This type of drekifcation will ALWAYS result in a foreign drek (drekirErlen) with humans arriving in during the PostPulse because the powers that be don't know where those humans were from, so just makes em a foreign race drek.
Gradual Drekification is a differnt matter. If a human overloads over a long period from small bits of exposure to magic, from cuts, small bites, magical foods etc. Then they will often undergo several stages of drekir. This will result in a race of drekir as the human would of been exposed to magic long enough to get a since of loaction to the magical essence of the Raddir and as such, will become a race of drek befitting of where their final "breakpoint" takes place.
There are 4 stages which each are marked by "breakpoints" where more drastic changes happen to move a human closer to a drek. This isn't a pleasant experience and is probably the worst way to drekify.
Stage 1: Hair starts to fall out, areas exposed to magic start to grow scales
Stage 2: Magic spreads, body will be considerably more covered in scales, ears will start to elongate. a small tail will sprout
Stage 3: Eyes change to be more dragon like, legs will slowly start twisting into a more digigrade form, leaving the human poorly balanced.
Stage 4: Tail completely grows, clawed feet (or hooves) fully grow in. Looks rather terrible and abomination like
Final Breakpoint: Human will undergo the rest of drekification in a short time period.
Humans will see some good use in colonists who have been drekified (and are still loyal to the home country) For a few reasons
1) Drekir are good to have diplomatically to work with local drek towns and cities, as drek to drek talks tend to go a lot better than human to drek talks. Human diplomats in some cases might voluntarily drekify to better serve this purpose
2) Human allied drekir can still use magic and that magic can be helpful in military situations or even just to study and learn about draconic energy
3) Recently drekified humans usually get jobs in colonies to manage districts of settlements that predominantly contain drekir as they are seen as more relatable to the local drekir who might seek shelter in human settlements. Often these drekir are assigned security or police duties in said districts because they are more relatable to the local drekir, which reduced the chances of violence.
But a human who has drekified often doesn't have a lot of incentive to leave the human colony to return to their home country. Many humans who are still human will often view these drekir as humans who have succumbed to the feral nature of the dragonscape, they're seen as animals and taboo in Africa, Europe, and Asia. As such they often see themselves having more purpose in the DragonScape working in a human colony than returning home. It's a social death sentence. This gets to the point where in some human settlements in the late 21st century are less humans and more drekir who were once humans that are still loyal to their home countries.
Sometimes humans will help and work with local drekir in combat, this is most often the case in the NE US/Canada region with the UK fight against GoDomers Ascendants. Where the local non cult drekir have to fight for their freedom and the Brits have to fight to not get drekified or killed. This kinda cooperation is not universal among all human factions though. the UK+Drekir alliances in that region are kinda unique. Humans with their fancy printer guns though will find themselves a bit outmatched though, thats what truly bulletproof armor tends to do to your weaponry. But they can do an OK enough job, especially against lightly armored skirmishers
Shaggy out!

Oh yeah, Honestly i can't seem to draw the pupils correctly, and im still trying to learn humans so i figured 1 thing at a time. Drekir are meant to have the eye be one color.
Humans aren't, I don't have an excuse really im just trying to tackle humans one thing at a time, sorry for the confusion!
I guess you could kinda call it a stylistic thing but i wouldn't give myself that much credit =w=
