Lengthwise on a Mountain
The mortal realms were actually kind of a cool place.
Sure, it was a little tedious to try to squeeze in 4 dimensions...
...and it was a little depressing to hear the inhabitants claim that 'no really, we have 11 dimensions, some of them are self-negating' because how pathetic do you have to be to put that much effort into claiming on a technicality something that's STILL pathetic?
…and there was the distinct feeling of being unwanted, dealing with explosions and planes and panicky self-destruction...
But man, they had some fun stuff.
Like “sleep”! Sleep was cool, just stop yourself and feel the world move around you.
Or “softness”! Softness was cool, too, you could touch things and watch them slowly deform around you and get just the tiniest bit of push back in all the right places.
Or “breezes”. Planets occasionally just generated really tiny air vectors that didn't break or ruin anything and just kind of tickled.
Silence made time to take a break in the mortal realms. He could nestle into some mountains and enjoy their softness. He could lean back, stretch over miles of sky, and enjoy a cool breeze. He didn't dare sleep, he wasn't sure he had a mechanism to wake up again and WAS sure that the population of this particular planet would do something very foolish while he was out, but two out of three weren't bad.
He didn't want to miss the flying things dropping snacks, anyway.
