Save up (my artist charges $100 an hour) and research the shops in your area. I spent an hour talking to the owner of my shop about their cleaning practices and stuff. If you have a friend with a tattoo you like, ask who did it and see about getting in with their artist.

Hopefully in the future I'll be able to find someone :)

I googled tattoo shops in my town and then went to the ones that had good ratings to check them out. :)

Right?! When I saw the art she’d drawn up I cried. I’m so happy and proud of this thing! 8D Didn’t plan for a half sleeve as my first tattoo intentionally but I’ll go for it now that I’ve got it. XD

It’s funny, but I really wasn’t that scared to do this. Having tubes in your chest really does change how you experience pain. XD There would be an occasional bit where I was like “Ow. Okay that’s uncomfortable” but most of it I just talked to my artist about random stuff. XD

Woohoo birb buddies! What kinda hummingbird is yours? Why’d you get it? :) Mines a ruby throated. They’re native to Colorado and will fight anything. XD There’s always tons of them at both my grandmas’ homes. :) Mine is kinda my version of the majestic eagle. XD
