Ivey had seen reports on the news of some mad science experiment going out of control, creating numerous rampaging giants running around all over the city and tearing it apart. So, she decided to deal with those giants before they spread out into the countryside. Also chose to crush a good part of the city herself. They should be too busy rebuilding for a while to even consider more such experiments.
