And of course I like it a lot. Haha, thanks very much for this awesome pic, sir. This looks just adorable. Ole Eternal looks like he knows what will be in store for him soon. And such a rebel he turned out to be to get captured right in the middle of a mission.

It does not matter if the pic is a year overdue. It still was worth all the time. One can clearly see, that you put a lot of effort and time into it.

The background looks ok as far as I can see. It again has this 30s election poster vibes. The only point of critique i could find would be that the room is shown a bit too much in bird perspective compared to the angle of the characters. But that one can only be seen if you look on purpose for the background and is only a really, really minor error in perspective.

but yea i figured it was someting wiht the perspective that was wrong, I always struggle with that

the composition is cool, no doubt about it. The positive image is more important than a minor error in the background, when the entire action is focused on the characters on screen. So this pic is defenitly a success, that´s for sure.

But maybe this could help you: My mother once told me that the horizon line for a background almost allways is going through the upper leg area of a standing character. This helped me a lot to improve my techniques with including backgrounds (I struggled a lot myself with backgrounds^^;)

ahhh I'll keep that in mind, figuring out where to put the horizon line has always been a difficult part for me. it must be great to have an artist mother to learn from =)

indeed, my mother is an artist, she is very skilled in the styles of painting in tradition of the old masters from the 19th century. She herself learned from my father, who in fact is not a painter himself, but he has a sharp eye for forms, compositions and colors. He was once very good in carving. He modelled a head of a red deer in full life size out of a wooden treestump. But now his eyesight became bad and his fingers are working not so smooth any longer.

So I had the unfair advantage of having two artists as parents, but my path led me to comic and fantasy artwork and my special interest is the old ink pen pictures like in old fairy tale books^^

I wonder if Eternal might have deliberately gotten himself captured, found that perhaps he's in more trouble than he anticipated but if he's going to meet his fate, he's not actually unhappy about it.
