Actually, I haven't come up with a gnoll-oriented name for the Bestigors yet. I'm open to ideas.
I made them a new Icon Bearer (Totem Bearer, Standard Bearer, etc) because the Frostgrave plastics are on the small side compared to the other 3rd-party minis I'm using as Bestigors. This one used to be a metal Chaos Warrior from the old Chariot model. His head is from a Ral Partha gnoll, the shield on the "Icon Pole" is from Voland's Venators (I used to have a VERY large Dogs of War army several editions ago - I miss them...)
Gnoll on the far left is from Pacesetter Games (I think they may be out of business, not sure - I ordered this one from Noble Knight Games). He's got a really wicked-looking double-handed, flanged mace that I like the looks of.
Next to him is a Frostgrave Gnoll Barbarian. Not much armor, but a massive bone as a club? Awesome! He's also one of the biggest of the Bestigor stand-ins I'm using.
On the far right is the Frostgrave Gnoll Templar. He's got a horned helmet (or a helmet and horns on his head, not sure which), a big honking greataxe, and a wonderful pose. I'm using him as my Bestigor command figure.

Moreso than you think! I have 2 units of 10 Rangers/Raiders, 15 Bestigors (not showing off the whole unit in that one pic), 10 Gors/Gnolls with hand weapon and shield, 10 Gors/Gnolls with paired hand weapons, the hyena pack, a chariot that needs a base (and some assembly and some extra armor, and...), 2 Beastlords, and a Shaman (who is a little on the short side, but that never bothered anyone).
Oh, and more than half a dozen unassigned and unassembled plastic gnolls to build yet! They ARE too small to use as Bestigors, but they fit in ok with the Gor/Gnoll units.
