I'm listening to a podcast called Casefile (wHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU DON'T KNOW OF IT). It's like a murder mystery podcast kinda thing, and I love it so much.
The episode I was listening to motivated me to do something conceptual I guess? For it. The episode itself honestly breaks my heart.
I didn't do this with the intention to offend anyone or anything like that, obviously. I really wanted to capture the story the episode tells in a rough sketch:
This is a fable about trust, love, and independence.
The story features three characters: a mother, her daughter, and the daughter’s suitor.
The daughter’s suitor lived deep inside a very dark cave.
[One day, the daughter asked her mother if she could visit this man.
The mother had concerns but did not want to stand in the way of her daughter’s happiness.
So she pulled a thread out from the edge of her skirt and told her daughter to hold onto it as she made her way into the cave.
If, for whatever reason, she felt in danger all she needed to do was tug on the thread.
Her mother would then pull her away from harm.
That little snippet is from the episode summary.
If this needs a warning or anything, please let me know!
For now since I'm unsure what other category to put it in, I'm going to stick it in my personal folder within my gallery.
I should make an 'etc' folder for stuff like this bUUUT
