Celebí debutó en las ediciones que englobaban a la segunda generación de Pokémon cumpliendo el mismo papel que Mew en la sobre explotada Kanto.

A diferencia de Mew, quien poseía el ADN de todos los Pokémon conocidos, Celebi es considerado el guardián de los bosques, restaurándolos de todo daño que reciban.

Celebí debuted in the editions that included the second generation of Pokémon fulfilling the same role as Mew in the exploited Kanto.

Unlike Mew, who possessed the DNA of all known Pokémon, Celebi is considered the guardian of the forests, restoring them from any damage they receive.
