Cute rat. I was thinking about getting a pet mouse or rat before. Might do so later, once I get my own place, and have a stable income. Then... it'll be dog time. 8D

xD Well that's good to know. I guess I'll get a rat. Any particular TYPE of rat I should look into? Or are pet rats pretty much all the same as far as type?

well i mean... theres different sizes x.x so.... you could get a small rat... medium rat, large rat, or jumbo rat.... but jumbo rats are like... the size of cats xD and i havent seen any in any pet stores in a while. mines just a medium rat, so shes only going to get a little bigger. they have different colors usually too, but they only had 3 rats left where i was buying them and they were all white ;-; i like the black or grey ones usually.

I don't think anybody would wanna come over to my place if I had a jumbo rat. xD It would be interesting, though. I'd probably go for a small, or medium one, and a black rat would be sweet. Thanks for the info..

np ^^ they eat the same stuff as hampsters and stuff and are relatively clean, just gotta clean the cage every 2 weeks or so. they dont smell so bad if you keep it clean. I use some shavings and stuff thats got baking soda in it so it keeps fresh longer
