Akane Tsutsuji, Mistress of Poison
For almost half a year, I’ve had this concept for an Overwatch character, an older woman who was known for her use of poisons in covert operations…and today I can finally show off the flat color for Akane Tsutsuji, Mistress of Poison
For years, the ‘Mistress of Poison’ was known in the criminal underworld as professional assassin who specialized in the deaths of the elite, using a wide array of toxins to eat away at her targets…that was until she was arrested by Overwatch in a sting operation.
However, instead of being arrested for the deaths she’d caused, they gave her the option to continue her work, but underneath their covert operations branch, Blackwatch. Joining, she became a vital member as both an assassin, but interrogator as well, leaving in more bodies in her wake.
As time went on, Akane found love and started a family with a fellow Overwatch member, but was now forced to live a lie in order to protect her son from the deaths that she had caused. This life of a lie came to a screeching halt though when she and her husband were sent undercover into Talon and captured.
Several years later, Akane was able to escape and returned to the life of a freelance assassin, only to crosspaths with not only Overwatch…but her son who had joined the newly reformed group…
