I finally made it to my first Ren Faire, the Bristol Renaissance Faire. The weather was quite nice, and after a few hours of taking in all the sights and doing my best not to empty my bank account at the vendors, the dragon came out to play! Staff in hand, and new chainmail cloak on my back, I proceeded to walk the grounds.
The reactions were great! Everyone wanted their picture taken with the dragon. Many drunkards wanting hugs. The kids had two reactions, everything they feared from their nightmares culminated, or the best thing every! A few wanted to 'slay the dragon' so I played along, even letting some of 'em win.
Unfortunately, everyone forgot to bring their cameras, so all I has was my cell phone camera. A fuzzy, blurry photo is better than none I guess.

That just looks and sounds so awesome. I'm still waiting for my hubby to make my suit so I can dress up when we go next year. In the mean time, though, I'll stick to being my starry magess with a white dragon hatchling perched on my shoulder. Have fun with all the kids and their 'dragon slaying' games!
