Actually yes, they do. Frostfangs [this big kitty here] were created by their god Olgheryrn [see "God of Frost" submission] and those markings distinguish them as being Frostfangs. No two patterns are exactly the same, yet they all share similarites like the markings on the lower lip, legs, and tail.

These markings are also shared among the messengers of Olgheryrn [see "Messenger of Wisdom" and "Messenger of War"] which is also significant because it determines the inclination of each Frostfang. Aero here shares many markings with the Messenger of Wisdom, showing is great capacity for thought and so on. However, he also tipped ears and a flatter nose like the Messenger of War which shows some skill in combat as well. I tried to keep things subtle when I created them so that it added more to the story.

Frostfang markings also glow and are different shades of blue. These things often times are indications of how strong the bond between them and their human companions is. The human group are called the "Somvarel" or "Frostwalkers" in common tongue and every Frostwalker has a Frostfang. If a Frostwalker is cut off from their power, their Frostfang's markings would cease to be visible leaving just a white cat. Such was the case for Aero for many years.
