Let's not forget that the first panel just solidly exemplifies the kind of people who make OC's purely for the power fantasy, but have little to know idea how to properly apply any sort of powers or abilities to the characters effectively. XD

Cause several times. I've had instances of me (in the role play using my character) being able to out smart the other person and win in the fictional roleplay "fight" between my character and their's. even when they kept claiming how over powered their character is.

Then you've never probably "fought" against anyone truly op.

well I mean, they've gloated about their character being OP, And yes. they'd be very OP when they actually used them properly. But they often played them in such a way that they didn't even try to fight properly and just end up losing purely cause they just weren't very good at understanding what happened.

But yes. when someone just goes out of their way to adamently go "no your attack didn't work cause he's indestructable and imovable from anything but himself." it's those kind of OP where you just don't even TRY.

But i'm more talking about people who do TRY to come up with OP characters that seem fair, but actually are just over powered outright. But are used so poorly it completely undermines their entire attempt to be over powered.

Heh. Funnily enough, my most OP character would still win even if they'd be indestructible and immovable. Being literally immortal wouldn't help either.

I basically realize now that my original starement wasn't something I should have put up cause it makes me feel like an ass.

Just in general, I do t like overpowered characters. Characters who no mater what, can't be beaten cause they feel uncreative. It's easy making a character that can just do anything, beat anything, and is unstoppable. Like those school ground play fights with two 7 year Olds trying to one up each other in a play superhero fight.

As for the comic above, I still find it funny, and the characters involved Im still okay with, cause it's being played for laughs.

This rubs me the wrong way, because I feel you're assuming I as the character creator can't write my own character for a damn. Anyhow, I believe it's dangerous to do "competitive" roleplay when the goal should be both people having a good time. What's depicted above is not about competition.

Its just any time I see some instance of a character gloating about being so powerful only to get defeated tends to make me reminded of my own experiences with people making over powered characters.

Its just something that I think about a lot where I like wanting to make a character powerful, but not in an "all powerful" kind of way.
