Anyway, this image is the life cycle I've given my set of damselfly characters, specifically of Emal Abernathy. He's actually the dad to two of my main characters. And my god, he's so blue. I'm glad I made his face black, (the dark gray).

Also, an explanation of their life cycle:

1st cycle of life- eggs
2 col- babies with arms, legs, antennae (no tail yet)
3 col- toddler/child stage where they start to grow a stub of a tail
4 col- pre-teens and teens, where they have a fully grown tail but wings haven't started yet
5 col- young adult, wing stubs appear on their back, and they start to grow, and can have sex but not produce offspring
6 col- fully grown adult, has all four wings, long tail with hooks to grab things, and can now sexually reproduce
7 col- wings wither away and hooks become dull, and the 'beard' looking feature on their face gets bigger as they age
