Transformers belong to Hasbro.
This had been one of the kitty images I drew while in Texas before my dad's death, and it would've been finished earlier, but things came up.
I apologize if the font used is a little hard to read. It's Transformer font that I got from dafont.com. I recommend checking that site out, no telling what type of font you'll find. Anyway, it pretty much says Autocat Pride.
Process to make this artwork:
1. Hand drawn, and hand inked, but my inking is terrible.
2. As said, inking terrible, so line art redone in Illustrator.
3. Copy and paste completed vector art onto a Photoshop file.
4. Set up layers in order from bottom to top: background, shading (set to overlay), vector smart object (or original line art, whatever you want to title it), color (set to multiply), and any other layer like my signature/text goes above the color.
5. On shading layer, make all of it a light gray, then with the burn and dodge tools, shade where you'd like to. Though if you'd rather, you could just color in the shadows with a darker gray.
(Tip: Now any highlights you make with the dodge tool will be very light and hardly seen once the color layer is done, so if you want something super shiny, you might want to use the dodge tool on the color layer instead.)
6. Select the gray outside of your shaded line art, and delete it. That way the background is seen, or you could use this area to put your background instead.
7. Turning off the shading layer, go to color and add the colors you want to your characters. This step can be done before shading too, but then you'd have to turn it off while shading, because it's very easy to mess up with both on at the same time.
8. Now you can add super shiny highlights on the color layer.
9. Before adding any text, go over and make sure you didn't miss a spot. I had several little places that needed to be colored/erased.
10. Make a background, add text, or whatever else you wanted to do.
And now to make this even longer, an explanation of who I made related to who:
-Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus are brothers. OP has cubs with Megatron, but they're not in this image.
-Ratchet and Wheeljack are mates, with Perceptor being their first cub followed by Red Alert. Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Inferno were orphaned cubs that sort of adopted Ratchet and 'Jack as their parents.
-Ironhide and Brawn are mates and their five cubs are Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Huffer, Gears, and Windcharger.
-Kup, Jazz, and Mirage are from the same breeding factory.
-Jazz's cubs are Blaster and Nightbeat.
-Mirage's cub is Tracks.
-Hound, Trailbreaker, Blurr, Springer, and Hot Rod are orphaned cubs who Kup takes care of.
-Prowl takes care of his younger siblings Smokescreen and Bluestreak.
