Dogs eat cats. Maybe not all, maybe not always, but of the two common household pets, one is significantly higher in the food chain. Worse, cats have a tendancy to run from potential danger...and canines love to chase. The natural defense of felines seems meant to entice canines to hunt. While most in civilized worlds may insist such incidents are few and far between, there are assuredly some dogs who see their domesticated competition as their natural prey.
Munch is one of them. But he's about the farthest thing from a 'natural' predator there is. This corgi tends to show up in worlds where non anthros are often sentient. A greedy corgi with a seemingly bottomless gut, he's glad to play the part of a friendly pup...until he's in grabbing range. Taunting, teasing, smothering kitties with his gut, he loves nothing more than turning a sweet, mewling feline into a wiggly lump. Sometimes he'll hunt them down and pounce them, other times he'll try and lure them in with promises of warmth and comfort. But once a wiggly tail slides past that smile, it's never seen again.
As one can see, Munch often gobbles groups of cats. He'll either find a pack of wandering strays or sneak into a house with a large collection of pets. There's little that they can do. They can beg, plead or even enjoy it. Munch knows that good little kitties are meant to pad out corgi pups. And if their owner shows back up? Well, as natural as Munch looks, there's a reason he's never been caught by the local dog catcher. Many owners have gone from yelling down at the dog to staring up at him as he looms over a newly transformed feline.
To find the corgi, just follow the missing cat posters...and don't expect to find the cats.
