Susan Romanova of the 113th StormAero, "Hercules" Unit
Brutality among early SU-25 units were to be expected. The mind transference that bonded a persons mind to a synthetic shell left many, if not all voluenteers(or voluentolds) scarred, vicious, and inhumane. In the West, such experimental procedures were banned under the pretext of inhumane tourture, but in the East; especially in the U.S.S.R., were desired. Having bloodthirsty, autonomous weapons to be set upon the Motherlands' enemies were a strong addition to the already vast numbers imposing, and terrifying equipment the Red Army could field.
RF-91973,(Later known as Susan Romanova) while far from the first batches made, she was among the first to regain some of their humanity back. The progress from being a near feral, mindless automaton to a reasoning, intelligent soldier would immediately capture the interest of Soviet high command. Aeromorphs such as Susan would be assigned to their own specialised "Hercules" Unit (Aptly named due to such a Herculean transformation for them) that would better suit their skills and abilities.
Susan Romanova would find her place in the begining well suited for her. The job was easy, the equipment superb, and the men hunky~. While widely considered to be one of the far more brutal to her adversaries (Rumor has it that she single handedly took on the 1st Arm.Inf. Battalion alone and slaughtered around a companies worth of men and a half dozen vehicles in the First Soviet-Sino War in 1983-1985) to her allies she is one of the more "Human" of them all(If you ignore her tough outward appearance, that is.)
While still serving, she was often seen to enjoy Christmas, Rock and roll, Blue jeans, and other dangerously Western cultural icons in the open. That was a huge no no back in Soviet times. While some had grown concerned about her western preferences and desires, it was often ignored as another simple error in her mind. It wasnt untill 1989 in Berlin, E. Germany that how influenced she had become by Western ideology. It was then that her and several other Soviet Aeromorphs defected to the United States upon the collapse of the wall.
After her defection, The US government merely asked for information regarding Soviet power in the region for US citizenship. Susan gladly accepted the terms, and now 25 years later She lives a rather peaceful life in her own private hanger in the Southern USA.
