Ooh man that looks awesome! I've always wanted to learn how to paint miniatures. I don't have any 40k stuff, but my Massive Darkness minis and Shadespire stuff would look great painted. x.x

It's a thing of practice really. Might take time, but if you keep to it improvement will come.

Well not the full arms, but the main weapon itself can be plugged into the arm socket, and the underslung weapon under the fist can be plugged as well.

I have to ask to you which texture you use for the ground, because I need something like that one for some of my own miniatures too

Just basic sand for model purposes.
This particular sand was "Basing Sand - Medium" from Kromlech, but there's really not that much difference between brands and whatnot.

I would be surprised if you didn't, it's a very common accessory for miniature building/painting.

Nice work! Get him into close combat if you can . That power fist is a beast (and does not suffer -1 to hit like most fists). Keep a cap and leut nearby for some re-roll 1s :)

Well, most of the dreadnought weapons have fist-like stats and don't get the penalty (except maybe the seismic hammer, which does a whooping flat 5 damage on AP -4 to compensate).
The conundrum about this guy is that he has low range on his guns, but almost all of them are heavy. Also, if no captain is available, there's still the Wisdom of the ancients stratagem to compensate - and his humongous base actually gives it a pretty wide impact.
That said all aside, it's a fun model.

Yes-A very nice model. I was slightly confused by the stats on the heavy onslaught though. I mean, the 12 shots is nice and all, but given its size compared to the regular onslaught cannon you'd think it'd have a bit more punch. Maybe Str7, AP-2, with 2 damage but only 6 shots? Just seems to make more sense for a gun that's four times the size XD I suppose the short range doesn't matter against some armies. I fight a lot of Nids and Dark Eldar and they tend to come to me XD
Do you run pure Primaris marines? I really love the new models but Primaris alone seem to struggle a bit vs super high tier armies and I'm reticent to invest heavily in the older shorty marines since the Primaris models are 'true scale' :) Standard Intercessors are pretty solid but the option to put a special weapon in with them (other than the grenade launcher) would have been nice. I don't really like putting all the expensive plasma guns in one squad. Hellblasters are great but they die very quickly...

I've been back in the hobby for six and a half years now and been focussing on just my marines, so no it's certainly not primaris only! (My Scraps here are almost completely devoted to 40k, so you can get an idea there)
Primaris only forces are doable, but they miss out on the flexibility that their regular brothers bring - and that's a good thing in my opinion! None of the primaris models are an all out full replacement for regular marines, who have a higher flexibility and range of options.

What I have on Primaris so far is:
-The contents of the Dark Imperium boxed set
-6 Aggressors (all Flamestorm Gauntlets)
-The Primaris Captain with Power Fist and Plasma Pistol (Store anniversary special model)
-The above Redemptor

And totally forgot that 10 man Reiver squad! :p

Nice! I do like the Reivers :) Gotta do some more work on my marines at some point. I was thinking about getting some old style marines but giving them all beaky helmets :) I ran mine as Salamanders last time I used them and it seemed quite effective-Though I think regular marines would get more out of that chapter tactics since they can have special weapons and heavy weapons in their tac squads.

I'm working on a 1000 point Catachan list for the doubles tournament in October at the moment. 16 infantry painted-21 infantry to go (plus three tanks-one of which is a Shadowsword ;)). Lots to do XD

Well, it's doubles so the total will be 2000 points. My partner is taking a very hitty Dark Angels list. Very fast and very powerful. I'm taking a tech priest to heal the Shadowsword and a psycher to put 'night shroud' on it (-1 to hit it with shooting attacks) which will hopefully keep it alive for a bit. Also a Trojan support vehicle which will let it re-roll with its shooting. A fairly potent combo but nowhere near as nasty as some of the stuff out there so I don't feel TOO guilty :) I don't expect to do that well but it should be a lot of fun :)

Huh, a weird place to find a Dakka-Dread, but take my fav nonetheless.

Simple, yet efficient highlighting, and the red-silver is a great combo.

There's a surprising amount of WH40k minis around here, just gotta find them, haha.
To be fair, he is not exclusively dakka - he has a mean punch as well! ;-p

For proper imperial fisting, you take a Contemptor, wrap in christmass gift packaging, and drop it from a Stormeagle onto the unfortunate receiver.
