Couch Kitties: Under The East Side Story
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/20/.....way-track.html
The call from the train operator came in just before 11 a.m. on Monday to the New York City subway’s command center, an alert unusual even for a system accustomed to morning commutes with delays: There was a breaking situation unfolding on the tracks.
Two goats were on the lam.
And if I couldn't make a Couch Kitties strip out of THAT, well, I simply wouldn't be trying...

A couple jobs and 20 years or so back, I had to work a weekend. I got a data file with 1,800 names and addresses and their corresponding agents. I also received a text copy of the "We're Sorry, We Suck" letter the USERS cUStomERS bUSiness partnERS needed printed. I had two days to get 3,600 letters printed, 100% access to the mainframe and high-speed printer. It takes a long time to recompile the program when it's busy.
The only other people in the building were two Somali security guards. A young woman in the parking lot and another man on patrols. I went out to my car to get my canteen and stopped to chat with the girl in the lot booth. She was eating some kind of curried drool fuel, and I asked her what it was. She said it was goat stew her husband had made. Well, I knew her husband; he was the Sergeant who worked the third shift and was always hitting on the third shift Lieutenant -- who also happened to be my girlfriend at the time.
Anyway, when I got back to my desk, there was a Chinese soup container of goat stew waiting on my desk. Hey, I'd eaten weirder stuff, and let me tell you, it was darned good stew!
