It took me a while to catch up and remember what was going on. You should probably add page buttons to this comic on here now.
Now that I caught up, I feel like Cole should talk to him, but this being a Pokémon battle. I doubt that will happen even if they both lose so they could do just that.

Hmm ... that does beg the question why the sudden change, indeed. If he really was that different and focused on power, etc., it seems to me that this is very much out of his usual character, unless something was given him to cause his behavior to change in the first place, when he first evolved. Either that, or he wanted his brother to not be captured in the first place and to travel the world a free, wild Pokemon. I guess we'll see.
