I'm using this one as a benchmark for my other stuff as well. I even got a better mic now too. This was recorded using a standard Shure SM57...not bad for vocals (Dave Grohl swears by them as a vocal mic) but meant more for instrument micing. But I recently acquired a Shure SM7B which has been used on almost every death metal record for vox along with other less brutal applications (Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden used them on many records starting w/ Number Of The Beast, Anthony keadis of the Chili Peppers uses them, and even Micheal Jackson on the Thriller album)

haha, I'm not too tech-savvy on instrumentalisation. All I know is that I need better gear all-round :P

I mean I don't really know any of the brands, but what I do know is I like your style, and that it's very clear :D
