A commission for Gabthenostalgic as his Dewott and DesertTheCoyote’s Salandit get into a rather artist situation. Hope you like it!
The well beloved art museum opened up today, with many Pokemon walking in and gazing at all of the wonderful pieces and sculptures and paintings. Some parts of the museum were dedicated to aspiring artists, one of them being a perky and enthusiastic Serperior, who was more than happy to see some Pokemon admire her work. Why wouldn’t she? Today, she was going to show off her latest piece, a wonderful stature of a Dewott and Salandit together, looking scared and worried. She revealed the stature, getting cheers and claps from her guests. They found the expressions and posture so classical, like how the usual duo would react when shocked. Serperior tends to clean her stature, clearing it from any dust or dirt as she finds it to be her finest yet. The rest of the Pokemon knows this, but this art piece has more of a history than they think. All for only Serperior to know.
Just a couple of days ago, Serprior was looking for inspiration for a new art piece to bring to her upcoming exhibit, trying to think of ideas of what to do. She was at the park, where she usually goes to think, and she ends up spotting a couple of friends walking by in the distance. Gabe and Dez were walking about minding their own business as they chatted and laughed. Serprior would have hearts in her eyes, finding the ordinary duo perfect. She quickly slithered to them, not wanting them to get away. She caught up to them, asking if they would like to be part of some artwork she is making. The two boys looked at each other and shrugged, not finding any problem in it at all. The serpent was simply wanting models and references, they saw no harm to come out of it, hence why they followed Serprior back to her lone spot. They saw the art tools usually needed, asking her what she wanted them to do. Simply put, Serperior sweetly asked them to stay still as she stones them. The boys laughed a bit, finding her statement funny as she joked around. That was when they saw her smile still remaining, finding it a bit awkward. Then her eyes glowed.
Gab and Dez were surprised by the venomous glow popping from Serperior’s eyes, asking what she was trying to do was they back away. Dez climbed onto Gab’s shoulders, in case the Dewott thought it was best to run for it from this suspicious serpent. Gabe only nudged when he moved, seeing his legs turn to stone as the rest of his body was being petrified. Dez thought he’d jump down and break his friend out of the stone casing, only to find his claws turn to stone and the casing latching him onto Gabe’s shoulders. The two Pokemon were frightened by the Serperior’s sudden abilities, not having enough time to shout for help as they were slowly and completely petrified, now complete statues. Serperior’s eyes returned to normal, the serpent hissing happily as she wraps her tail around her new statue, putting away her art tools in a bag and finally slithering from the park, off to the museum. She placed the statue perfectly on a marble stand, the name of the piece and her name on a shiny golden plate. She was proud of her newest piece, excited to show the Dewott and Salandit to her viewers.
Now with her work being loved by many, Serperior is so anxious to make more statues. Luckily for her, she has all the models she needs right there in the museum, oblivious to her abilities as they browse through the art. Maybe she’ll ask a few or more Pokemon if they wanna be her new models. Or more than that.
So obviously, as you can see in the sketch and the final pic, the background went through quite a change. I thought the initial one looked too cluttered, I needed to go from something simple, so I did. Simply out, I just made a three-piece artwork be in the background, but still implying that the Serperior, Gabe, and Dez are in an art museum.
You can only see two on it, the middle one is covered by the forefront Pokemon. It’s a petrification bit, as the pieces are all little nod to other Poke’ perils. So for those who like those specifically, cheers to ya.
Here’s what the three-piece fully looks like, without anything in the way: (https://sta.sh/0toplxrvukq)
