Here's another project that's been sitting in the pile for several years. YAY! PROGRESS! This is part of the Stone Dragon series, although this beastie wound up being much more nightmare-unicorn-dragon than anything else. I had a whole lot of fun with it, especially when I got to the point of assembling its ...um... horn bubbles?
For this project, I used ink, watercolor, and Prismacolor pencil on the main design. It has some silver gel pen detailing, as well as a few shiny bits. The 3D embellishment near its fore-knee is a fuze-glass bauble.
The background is scrapbook paper, and layered onto that is a conglomeration (perhaps even a congeries) of holographic film, sequins, acrylic and glass "raindrops", glass tiles, "black goldstone" (which is regular goldstone with a different chemical treatment during manufacture), shell beads, and a whole lotta shiny bits. In the upper right corner is a labradorite stone. It came out green in the scan, but when the light hits it the schiller matches the overall color scheme perfectly.
