Queenie and Dusty are two ponies leading double-lives Queenie is actually Lady Ice Storm Heir to the title of Duchess of Avalanche Valley, but her realm is operating in the red due to an ancestor's mad whims, so like everyone else in the valley she actually works for a living, and when she comes home for the holidays she is a housemaid at her family manse which acts as a hotel for tourists.
Dusty is actually the noblepony Diamond Dust who would rather stand on his own four hooves than be idle rich, and is always off on a sports circuit involving winter or beach games. He's always avoiding his grandmother's attempts to marry him off to some braindead Noble filly for the prestige and social position, preferring to dream of finding true love.
The two do meet, and neither are aware of one another's social standing as they seem to hit it off.
Of course... nothing is ever THAT easy, is it?
