This is pretty much the loop of behavior whenever I'm watching any sport with my team (in this example, is my NHL team, the Columbus Blue Jackets):
oh god we're gonna lose, I can just feel it
wait something good happened
YES WE SCORED WOOOOOO
Repeat as needed until the game is over, hopefully that my team was won.
