Decided to revisit my OC Alphos and give him a proper name fitting the UnderTale universe.
Meet Trebuchet (Tré-Bue-Ch-It)
Yes its a font name, I thought it was clever xD
Relevance to him is that he is a former lab experiment when W.D.Gaster was experimenting with human bodies. One such body was that of knight’s human body, which happened to be Trebuchet’s. He had a soul of Patience but Gaster decided to test it with Determination to see the outcome. The soul almost broke but it reformed itself, perhaps his soul adapting to change just like he did as human. The soul was rather unique and decided not to use it for the King’s plan to breaking the barrier, making a skeletal body from his original body and it took to it with ease, creating a new monster. Trebuchet was confused when he woke but later found it easy to adapt to his new environment and life style, still remembering that he was once a human but now knowing that the monsters where not anywhere close to evil as he was led to believe.
He still retains his blade but ditching his old gear for his current leather jacket and clothes. Wearing an eye patch to hide and conceal his red eye. For an unknown reason, he sports a cold flame of magic as a hair style, possibly for style reasons as he had an interesting choice of fashion as a boy.
Gaster gave him a prototype of a Gaster Blaster as a gift for training him up with magic attacks, though he only uses it when he starts to get desperate. He uses his blade with grace as any knight would and tends to wait and watch his opponents for a turn or two in battle. After that, he will fight, giving his opponent no breaks and tends to mix up his fight patterns very thoroughly to get rid of repetition.
Trebuchet can not reset but he refuses to die, surviving often on 1 HP and his attack power rises exponentially the lower his HP gets. His LOVE is at 10 and he makes frequent visits to the True Lab to prevent it from raising higher. He is one of the many monsters in the Underground to successfully have Determination inside him like Undyne.
