You can only see a smidge of the gorgeous blue metallic paint of this Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. When I complimented the owner of the truck, he confessed that it was a Ford paint that he'd had it resprayed with. No matter, as long as it's drool resistent, because this vehicle looked THAT good!

Actually, I bet Ford once did! :) I was at a sawmill that Furd once owned. He cut his own wood for roofs and bodies... and burned the waste into charcoal briquets. "Kingsford" charcoal was originally FORD charcoal!
Also, the Twin Cities plant that produced the (de)Ranger once had an underground sand mine that was used for raw material to make window glass! You can't make this stuff up. It was a popular place for UrbExers to try to break into...
Nowadays I think Akzo Nobel pretty much owns the paint market for high end paints, though PPG seems to limp along ;)
