First, I know I been off awhile. Real life been crazy and more important.
Second, here is my D&D 5th edition character, Karina (Rina to family and close friends). She is a 16 year old dragonborn Sorcerer, with a cloistered scholar background. She was read every book in the world's greatest libraries, or claims to. No one really knows, and she don't tell. She is horribly horrible and awkward in social situations, having been raised by a merchant mother and artisan father that was in the low ranks of guild in a forest, both humans. She believes that nothing should fetter the infinite possibilities inherent in all existence. Her entire life's work is in a series of tones related to dragons, silver dragons mostly. Her biggest flaw is that she will stop and study/take notes on dragons, instead of running away.
Her got her magical powers after being attacked and beaten to she was almost dead at the age of 2, all cause she looked like a demon (her being dragonborn and not human in a human mostly town) and had purple eyes. She was found alone and unconscious but the people that raised her. She had difficulty controlling her powers for many years and still fights to keep them under control, 14 years later at the age of 16. She doesn't know if she was cursed, blessed, or given the powers from her birth parents. It the main reason she become a scholar to try to figure out where and why she has the powers and abilities that she does. As she got older, people started to see that her powers were a blessing from their deities, and started to expect her to use them to help her 'community'. Whenever she does a spell, rather for practice or for helping others, her robe, that she wears when in public or traveling, will always ruffle like there is wind around, even if there is no wind.
Her adoptive parents already had 4 other children: 2 sons and 2 daughters. She is along well with them. She don't see them much but she does know they alive. One of her brothers, who is younger then her, is a sailor and had brought home some unique items. One of the items was an ivory plague mask which has its beak stuffed with fragrant posies, which she carries around with her at all times to remain her of her home and family.
Through her travels, she met has made enemies and friends: IE she is good friends with a rogue but some how enemies with a bard (she doesn't know why said bard hates but knows whenever the bard sees her, they wanna fight and cause issues for her). She has also worked with a well known scholar before they were killed by an orc.

**Note: I kept my dragonborn true to how dragons normally are: females have no breasts. She is mistaken for male all the time as she doesn't always wear eye shadow as it don't always still on her scales very well
