Art from 2011
"To your life and to your death, without one, you cannot have the other. Life is never certain, but death is inevitable. Then there are those like me, who do not walk among the living, but neither are we dead."
Yes, yes, thank you Mystie, thank you. Finally, got my Halloween pic done with time to spare before the big day. This is Mystie, Morbid, and myself wishing you all a Happy Halloween. Don't eat all your candy all at once! BTW, that ain't fruit punch in that goblet!
Dear Lord up in Heaven, this took about sixteen hours of work all together. Mystie herself and the fur lining on her robes were done with prismacolours. The cloak and robes were done with black and gray brush pens with gel pen accents, scythe shaft was colored with black gel pens and brown brush pens, the blades were done with silver gel pens, Morbid the raven was gel and brush pens, and finally the deep purple sky nearly took a whole purple glitter gel pen.
I didn't want to use Jack-O-Lanturns, or any "super obvious, look-at-me, I'm Halloween!!" stuff for my yearly Halloween drawing. Instead I wanted to capture creeping horror with beauty, and Mystie was the perfect figure to use.
