Art and description from 2013
You've all waited long enough, so here it is, the FINISHED and final piece to the Jester and the Wizard puzzle. I've actually had this completed for a few months now, but I've just been having a slow spell as of late. I'm trying to get back in the game, get more creative again... mostly starting with giving the DS a rest and just freaking DRAW! *sigh* Moving on, it took a very long time to do this, paying attention to each and every pixel, preening and pruning the line art to make it just so, and I'm personally happy with the result.
On a secondary note, Seiro and Vash are off to the Fair! Yup, this is my entry for the Puyallup (now renamed The Washington State) Fair this year! Sorry I forgot to take some photos of the image matted and framed. The image itself is a 11x14 poster print, double matted in a 16x20 black frame.
UPDATE:: OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH! 08/17/2013, I woke up this morning, found a letter from the Washington State Fair, and found out that Seiro and Vash here have won 2nd Place in the Digital Arts Category! *squee!* I'm so excited! This is my first big award to date, and even comes with a cash prize! There are thousands of entries each year, and I'm just happy that the judges thought Seiro and Vash were good enough to make the cut! Just goes to show... DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF MS PAINT!
I'd really like to get back in the swing of things again soon. I'm still working on my little mini-paintings, and I did find some stuff I had managed to scan in before the whole "Scanner Crisis" happened to me.
Edit: I just have to put this here, just so that these words live on forever in the immortal world that is the Internet.
Seiro and Vash, ready to kick names and take ass... or is it the other way around? Well, not according to Vash, and I can already sense Seiro doing a face-palm behind me.
These two have already gone on an epic adventure, to the Puyallup Fair's Fine Arts exhibit 2013, where, they took home 2nd Place in the Digital Division! Wheeeeeee! I'm psyched! This is a juried art show, one of the biggest in Washington State, and to win 2nd out of the thousands of entries the Fair gets each year is nothing to sneeze at!
