Welcome everyone,

For the next six days I'll be posting up some reference images for characters featured in my Ephalon book series. So, of course, I have to start off with the character where it all began, Riptor Stormwolf.

This wolfy male was conceived over 15 years ago and has been a solid anchor throughout the years. He's changed a lot during that time. Initially, he was just supposed to be a werewolf (anthro) type character. However, as time went on, he evolved into something more. He became what I now refer to as an Ancient. One of the three progenitor species that inhabit the world of Ephalon.

This image is the first part of what will over time become a full character sheet. I can't reveal everything about Riptor quite yet as that would spoil certain aspects of the book series.

So, for now, enjoy this image and a mini summary below of what we can discern from it.

Name: Riptor Stormwolf
Gender: Male
Species: Ancient
Fur: Solid black fur, which appears on the shorter spectrum length wise.
Tail: Seemingly has a rather long bushy tail, a-typical to a wolf found in the wild.
Claws: Claws on both hands and feet appear to be white in colour.
Build: Slender / toned build, hard to guess exactly how muscular due to fur.
Leg structure: Digitigrade legs, which impress the ability to run very fast.
Special physical features: Glowing blue eyes
Abilities: Unknown, further investigation required.
