laharl15 is swingin in my kitchen! I need an exterminator!
but not really. xD
A little experiment with my new laminator and the idea of combining laminated paper with other media for a cool 3D/2D effect. I've seen some other conbadges done that way and I'm so in love with the idea that I wanted to try it out. A swing of string was the first thing that came to me, and there are lots of cute poses for furres on swings... or tied up in string... or hanging on it, whatever. xD
Had a few issues... not the least of it the craptastic colored pencil treatment. I can't do colored pencils. :< I also couldn't do marker on this because it would bleed through to the other side and mess up the back of the image. There's also the issue of... since its a single piece of paper... how do i make the back hand hold the string right on the other side? I can't. I could try doing the image on two pieces of paper and laminating them together... but then, the issue of can I get the string between the four layers? And will the two paper thing make it even harder to match up front and back perfectly?
Gonna be experimenting more, to see if I can get it to work better. Need to make it smaller too, so it can be proper conbadge size.
For now, enjoy a swingin Jan in a utili-kilt!
