Actually I used Lightroom for this one. I love using that program better than Photoshop at times. Didn't have to adjust any curves or levels, but I did do some adjusting with a few specific things like exposure, contrast, and a few other things. Then of course, changed it to black and white ^^.
hope you get the time to pick a camera up some time, its fun to do and some of the stuff you can get pictures of can be extremely interesting. And the rare times you get "the shot" can be very gratifying.
My advice, give it a go .. obviously when you get the free time heh, i work long hours so i suffer with a lack of free time myself :P

really nice shot of a kitty relaxing in a semi curled up ball i don't use photoshop programs to alter my pictures though, might try my paw at it sometime to see what kind of effects i can get though. *pets kitty with leather gauntlet knowing what some kitties can do when you pet them whilst they're chilling*
