‘I can’t track him down.’ Yudia said, at the professor’s meeting. ‘Whatever he’s done, my spell won’t work on him.’ ‘Then what do we do? We can’t lose him!’ Professor Ravison exclaimed, desperate. ‘He’s misunderstood the situation, and we need him!’ ‘What happened between you and Mr.Quan? You never told us.’ Professor Obiapo asked. ‘You never told us.’ ‘And that’s none of your business.’ Professor Ravison said sharply. ‘It’s classified.’ ‘But we have the right to know, especially if one of our student ran away!’ Professor Obiapo said angrily. ‘I said it’s classified!’ Professor Ravison yelled, getting angry.
‘This is not a yelling contest.’ The headmaster said with power radiating from his voice. ‘So if both of you would, please shut up and focus on how to find Mr.Quan.’ That got both professors looking angry but shutting their mouths. ‘Now that’s out of the way, does anyone have any idea of finding Mr.Quan? Professor Pauio? Do you have any sight or ideas?’
‘I’m sorry, but no. For some reason I can’t see him. Not in any of my visions. I’ve tried the past months trying to track him down, but none of my stuff works for some reason. There’s only a few explanation to this, but I hope he’s not the most likely one.’ ‘And what is that?’ ‘Deceased.’ The room fell into silence for a few seconds. ‘And the next likely one?’ Professor Yudia asked. ‘He’s not something that has an expected future.’ A few professors sighed at that, and Professor Ravison was one of them. ‘Well, let’s hope that that’s the one.’ He said.

Rhy was flying yet again. And he had a destination this time. He was going to get some books. He didn’t exactly want to revisit the civilization, but if he wanted books, then there was no other choice. And although he was flying to the nearest biggest town, his head was still spinning in doubt. ‘Is it really a good idea to go there?’ he asked himself. ‘Or should I just turn back now? It isn’t too late yet.’ ‘No. I’ve came this far, and maybe no one would notice me. Besides, I need some more books if I don’t want to get bored to death.’ ‘Still, is it worth it?’ ‘I don’t know.’
While he was thinking, he was already near the town. You could almost call it a city as it was quite big. Noticing it, he searched for the near woods or anything that would hide his identity. Then he found a trail with a river along it. ‘Good.’ He thought, and landed near the trails. He quickly changed, then walked along the trail as if nothing had happened. It was dawn, but almost morning. He could almost see the sun rising up around the horizon. Then a thought struck him. He didn’t have any money. ‘Great. Now what will I do without money?’ he scolded at himself. But he was already almost at the town. ‘Meh. Guess I’ll have to use the shady way.’ He thought, and continued walking along the road.
The town didn’t have much movement yet. There were a few people on the streets, but most of them were just out for a walk. He didn’t mind them, and started to look for a bookstore. And thankfully, there was one right around the block.
Quietly picking the lock, he entered the store and started to look for some books he might be interested in. After quickly finding some, he got out soundlessly, as if nothing had happened, and closed the door behind him. He was just about to go back to his cave when he saw a gun and weapons shop right across the road. Something triggered him towards it. He walked across the road, and looked through the store’s glass. There were dozens of rifles, pistols, and knives. And the nearer he got, the stronger the pull was. ‘Nothing could happen, right?’ he thought, and picked the lock, entered the store.
Rhy saw all the weapons and tried not to be so excited. There was much more than he expected to! He slowly walked towards the rifles corner, and picked one up. ‘Oh, hell yes.’ He thought, and examined the weapon. The gun itself looked extremely sturdy, and ready for anything. But so were the other rifles. He didn’t know a lot about weapons, so he just picked one randomly. Then he turned to look at the knives when he saw LMGs. ‘Those look even better…’ he thought, and put the rifle back in it’s place and walked towards it. And yes, it did look better, thought it looked heavy. The name tag under it said M-249 5.56*45 NATO. He lifted it, and to his surprise, it wasn’t too heavy. ‘NICE.’ He whispered. ‘You’re coming home with me.’
He knew ammo was needed to shoot the gun, so he started looking for some. For some reason, the gun shop owner must’ve thought it was a good idea to put his stacks of ammo in the back room unlocked, so he took all of what he could. It looked plenty, at least to him. Happily, Rhy walked out of the store with the LMG slung around his back, and ammo in a box. He walked back to the trail, ignoring the bewildered looks passing people gave. Once he was back to the trail, he changed and flew back to his cave.

A few months later, Rhy was in his cave, working. He grew to like his gun, maybe just as much as he like his ability to breathe fire. And he missed that he couldn’t use it while he was in his dragon form. So he was working on a project. So far he had made a strap that hung the gun on his side, and a camera system that shows him where he’s shooting. Now he needed a way to strap the sight on his head tightly. Maybe if he strapped it down like a pair of glasses…
It worked! The sight didn’t shake around even if he shook himself, and he could clearly see where he was shooting at. He had stolen some displays, and as it was a transparent display, he could see in front of him as well. It was all powered by a portable reactor. He hoped that portable reactor lasted long, as hell had broken loose when he tried to get it. Happily, he jumped out of his cave and flew towards his makeshift shooting range. Now he had one more thing to do just than reading, and he loved it.
