(Finally back with this old story ! And forgive my mistakes and typos again !)
« Stupid, stupid stupid ! »
Head down, the little buizel was walking briskly through the deep forest brodering the Guild's village. She was very upset and her heart was full and heavy.
Why did Kinji refused to listen at her when she told him they didn't need new members on the team ? Didn't he tell her that she was doing good ? That they were a great team together ? Then why shouldn't they keep on working the same way ? Only the two of us ? It was like... like he was thinking she wasn't strong enough for his stupid missions ! Stupid Riolu !
She was hurt and feeling betrayed. But deep inside she knew that the only one being stupid here was her. She should have noticed months ago, Kinji was only focused on becoming a better rescuer he never never thought about the future the way she considered it. To be more than just work and team building. It could... it could have been so much more... If only he wasn't just considering her as a teammate... THEY could be so much more... And this, was her biggest mistake from the day she accepted to follow this strange and fascinating cute pokemon for the wrong reasons... It wasn't Kinji's fault... If only she had been honest from the very start...
Ayumu suddenly sank to the ground and sat with her back propped up against a dead trunk. She took a deep deep breathe and sighed with despair.
What she didn't realize is that someone was peering at her. A young shiny Zangoose was wondering what the heck was this buizel doing on his territory. Most of the pokemon from the Guild knew he was living here and training hard and most of them was avoiding the company of the stubborn troublemaker they qualified him. Tshah ! Just because he wasn't as good as them at following rules and cooperating with other pokemon doesn't make him a bad potential rescuer ! Too bad, since he had this little « tick off » with the top Guild leaders nobody wanted to give him a chance again.
But this female here, he never saw her before. Why did she look so sad ?
« Hey, why the gloomy face ? Did you get lost ? »
While he stopped hiddind and was getting closer he noticed the rescuer scarf on her arm, she was part of them, and added :
« Nah, you're a rescuer, you're not lost. But all alone ? Where is your team ? »
Ayumu startled by hearing the voice of a stranger close to her. She first remained silent and carefully took a look at this other pokemon but he didn't seem to want to fight nor look aggressive. And all of a sudden, she felt very embarrassed. Did he saw her when she was nearly crying ?? She blushed but pretended to be okay.
« I'm... I was just thinking ! I... I didn't know someone would be here... »
A smile appeared on the Zangoose's mouth as he was looking at her reaction. He, cute. She sure had no idea he was here, and he almost felt sorry for caughting her by surprise when she was lost in deep sad thinkings. Almost. Because it wasn't one to watch others whine in despair pretending he didn't see anything. And the way he offers help in this kind of situation rarely pleases those in need.
But that female, yeah, he might make an effort for her. He tried a polite and comprehensive strategy for once.
« Hey, it's not like this forest was mine. Even though I enjoy thinking this small area is. So, you said you were thinking. Thinking about what ? »
The Zangoose was now standing just in front of her with a very confident pose but she could see the forced caring attitude as he was turning his hand on her direction. He was apparently not the type of pokemon who used to care about others' feelings but, he was trying. And Ayumu didn't understand why despite thinking it was nice. She paused and hesitated but finally answered him with a low tone voice :
« About how to become more efficient... stronger... and to prove my value to someone dear... To make him consider that I'm enough as a teammate... »
And as a suitable mate for him ? Ayumu shaked her head and closed her eyes to try to drive this foolish idea from her mind.
And once more, the Zangoose looked at her with some amusements. This female got too much in her head. She should try to relax or she'll never be able to focus on her goal.
The Zangoose crouched on the ground, flexed every single muscle and jumped over the Buizel performing a double scratch move and a spin before landing both legs on the ground.
Ayumu watched his move very impressed by his performance.
« Woooooooooooow... What a move... »
Satisfied, and happy to see a more positive look on the Buizel's face, the Zangoose took a victorious pose and said :
« I can show you more like this. What do you think ? Want me to teach you some awesome moves ? »
The Buizel nodded and the Zangoose felt very proud of him.
« Alright then, so let's start. We've got a LOT of work. »
And this is how Ayumu and Aoki met !
