Silver’s jumps through dimensions hardly ever carried a physical transformation with them, normally it was an easy enough jump that would leave him in the world as himself, perhaps a few clothing changes but nothing too major. This time though when the dragon landed he wasn’t exactly a dragon, instead he was a... bright... pink... bunny. “What?” he grunted. As soon as he’d entered the world he’d felt something different, but his magic had also made him aware of the changes, entering the new form into his mind.
Gone was his normal silver body, instead he was a long eared pink rabbit with a pair of buck teeth, a red button nose, though thankfully he was still wearing his signature jacket. The magic was quick to explain to him the reasoning, though the dr-rabbit wasn’t happy nonetheless. “Dragons do not exist in this world, as such your current form is set to the most plentiful species in this world to help you blend in. As such, you are now a rabbit, due to the nature of this transformation your magic has been drained in its entirety to help finish the morphing process. As such, your magic is too little to teleport again for approximately twelve hours.” That was that, the magic having nothing more to say, and leaving Silver stunned as he grabbed onto his new lanky ear.
“Are you kidding me?!” he snapped at no one. Turning into a rabbit was one thing, but being left with no magic at all to teleport was not what he had in mind in the least. Silver growled and kicked out at a rock... and immediately regretted it as he realized any protection he had before from his scales and claws had been leached away by the pink fuzzy toes of his rabbit body.
So Silver was left bouncing on one foot holding the other in pain for a few minutes before he finally managed to pull himself together. Looking at his surroundings he found that he wasn’t too far from a quaint little village, it looked rather enticing with its peaceful environment, so though Silver was in a rather poor mood he could at least explore this world until he was able to get out. Living as a pink rabbit was not his idea of fun, so he started off towards the village, his ears drooping the entire way.
***
When he arrived in town Silver was immediately aware of why his magic had turned him into a rabbit in this world, the small village was flush with them, bunnies of all sorts of colors. There were pink ones, gray ones, black ones, so many that he could hardly comprehend how many there actually were. Children ran around the town, though there were other species of creatures, they were far less common. As far as he could tell there were no carnivorous species as far as he could see, there were birds, some turtles, and a few chickens. The village folk were rather welcoming to him, but honestly Silver didn’t much feel in the mood to talk with anyone.
A few people remarked on how delightful his fur looked, some even making moves to scratch their hands through his pink fur, but Silver kept his distance. Normally he wasn’t this grumpy, but something about being forcefully drained of his magic without his permission had put him into a seriously sour mood. It made him feel bad as many of the villagers seemed like genuinely friendly people, but he couldn’t bring himself to be that cheerful.
Wandering around the village it seemed like a quaint little farming area, small homes with lots of families living within, and several larger farms on the outside of the town. More than that though Silver could smell lots of carrot based dishes... and it was making him hungry, the rabbit didn’t have any money on him though as his magic had been tapped heavily by the transformation, so his normal cash hadn’t been transmuted. “Crap!” he grumbled. He wasn’t about to wander up to someone and ask for them to share food with him, it was against his own moral code.
So it was that Silver looked at a few plates of carrot cake, carrot pie, and plain ol’ carrots and felt his stomach rumble. “Dang it... maybe I should see if my magic’s gathered up enough yet...” he grumbled. So the rabbit pulled his wallet out and tried to work his mojo on it, trying to change the money within... but nothing happened, he didn’t feel a single tingle of magic. So Silver sighed with a slump to his body, this really wasn’t his day... that was until a very strange white rabbit jumped up to him with an awkwardly large smile.
“Well hi there!” the rabbit said in a obnoxiously loud voice. It was overwhelmingly loud, in his face, and his eyes were... swirling?
“H... hi?” Silver stumbled over his words as he couldn’t believe this rabbit’s obnoxious presence.
The rabbit reached out and slapped Silver’s belly, his own large form swaying with a large belly. “Well you look to be one hungry rabbit! Why don’t you have a freebie on me, bub?!” the rabbit laughed in a fat rolling sort of way. Silver’s eyes widened when the rabbit practically forced a large carrot in his hand, it almost looked comically large in fact.
“Thanks!” Silver said with gleaming eyes. Maybe his day was on its way up in fact, so he started to gobble down the vegetable, eyes clenched tight in enjoyment... and then the rabbit started to giggle eagerly. “Hmm?” Silver asked between bites. Then his stomach started to rumble, loudly in fact, his belly shaking a bit from the growing pressure in his gut.
Covering his obnoxiously large smile the rabbit started to bounce up and down, looking like a schoolboy caught doing something naughty. “You ate it~ You ate it~ Oh you’re gonna love this!” he sniggered. The rabbit started to take a few steps back while Silver’s hands reached down to his stomach, eyes widening... and then he ballooned.
“Whooooa!” Silver shouted in shock. Nobody was nearby to watch the ridiculous scene unfold, but Silver’s clothes didn’t survive the sudden expansion as he grew larger and larger, his paws, feet, and especially his belly grew larger. He shuddered with the suddenness of the growth, eyes wide with shock... but what was worse was that not only had he grown larger... but he was HUNGRIER than before. “What did you do?!” Silver gasped in horror.
The rabbit who’d given him the carrot was cackling with hilarity, clutching his own large belly before he started to sprint away. “See ya later, loser~” the rabbit called over his shoulder. Silver was pissed, extremely pissed, now he’d lost his favorite jacket, had expanded to the size of a fatso, and he was hungrier than ever. He was ticked off, and he was not going to let this freak of a rabbit get away! So he gave chase, having to get used to his new enlarged body, his every step slightly shaking the ground and scaring a few kids that were playing around nearby.
Everyone Silver passed gave him strange looks, like they’d never seen a fat rabbit before... though perhaps in this country town they hadn’t. Nonetheless he gave chase after the other rabbit, until they were running right into a quiet area of the village which appeared far less occupied. Something about this seemed wrong to Silver, he needed to go back to the normal part of town, after all this wouldn’t last after he transported back to his own world... but he was irritated enough to pursue the trickster, if for no other reason than to berate him.
Soon the pair were threading in and out of trees, Silver attempting to catch up, but despite their near equal size the other rabbit somehow managed to disappear after a while. The fat rabbit staggered to a step, looking around in shock, gasping for air. “W... where did he go...?” he huffed. Trying to look around Silver couldn’t see where the rabbit had gone, he was completely baffled... and then he heard a cough from up above.
Silver’s eyes widened and he looked up... and the bunny dropped down on him with a mask in his hands. The visor slapped right over his eyes, Silver’s hands immediately grasping for them while the other rabbit hopped away with surprising dexterity. What was different about him though now was the fact that he was now a shiny white rabbit with a visor over his eyes, a glowing pink spiral spinning within its exterior. “Fantastic~ I got one! Now we can be the best of buddies along with the rest of our bunny kin, isn’t that great?~” His voice was somewhat synthesized now, and his smile almost looked painted on at that.
“What did you do to me?!” Silver shouted. He was trying to pry the visor off, but it wouldn’t come off, and beaming directly into his eyes were massive blue spirals. “No! I won’t submit, get off of me!” he snarled. He didn’t know what the visor was trying to do, but he had no intention of being hypnotized, but the mask’s contents were already quickly spreading a thick pink layer of rubber onto his body.
The other bunny was too busy laughing like a fool though, clapping his rubber hands, bouncing up and down with squeaking sounds. “Don’t worry, buddy~ You’re gonna be a great rubber bunny, we can trick other bunnies, make them giggly tricksters too!” His words resonated inside of Silver’s head as the rabbit’s mouth started to belt out laughter despite his own panic, something that scared him even more as he bit down on the laughter.
Stalling the laughter Silver took a few calming breathes before he tried to wrench off the mask once more, but it wasn’t coming off, and now the pink rubber that was spreading on his face was splashed onto his hands. “You need to free me, now! I’m a powerful mage!” he growled. Silver was trying to reach for his magic pool, but it was already refusing him, in fact it appeared to be shrinking by the second as he was infected...
“Ooo, a magician?~ That’d be a great thing to fool people with! You could do silly card tricks that end with people getting glue covered cards!” the white rubber bunny roared with laughter at this thought. Silver despite himself thought of the absurd image... and started to laugh too. His face was becoming increasingly covered, pink rubber covering his pink fur, his face turning into a ridiculous grin that spread far wider than anyone’s should’ve been able to, and his laughs were shaking his belly.
“Ooo, yeah, I could throw confetti covered in itching powder, or maybe maybe a magnet that sucks people’s jewelry in disguised as a plain ring!” Silver started to roar with laughter. It took him a few seconds to regain his composure, he was angry, he was upset with this, he wasn’t going to become a trickster. “No... no, I have to stay myself...” But the visor was planting the thoughts, overwriting Silver the magic dragon, and implanting a new rubber bunny.
The white rubber bunny threw his arm around Silver’s shoulder, dragging him in close as he laughed raucously, his white rubber squeaking on Silver’s own pink body. “Oh gosh, Flopsy, you’re just the best dang magician in town! You can make anybunny laugh with your antics!” the white bunny giggled.
“F... Flopsy?” Silver groaned. His head was filling up with images of bunnies, all of them rubber, all of them being super funny tricksters... that’s right, any good bunny was a trickster, playing pranks on others, making them all laugh with him! “Right... right you are, Spotty! I’m the best dang magician in town!” His face grew into a permanent grin as his rubber body completed, squeaking as he bounced up and down with Spotty, his now black nose squeaking against Spotty’s as they looked into each other’s swirling visors.
“You should put on a magic show, Flopsy! Make sure all of the rabbits in town attend, we have to make sure everyone’s a great trickster!” Spotty pressed. Flopsy’s entire body sagged as he nodded, giggles escaping him, he needed to spread... he needed to make sure all of the other cute rabbits were funny bunnies like him!
***
Word around town had spread about the fantastic new magician Flopsy, a large and in charge giggly magician rabbit. Some people were put off by him, but many of the town’s people came to watch him, interested in what he could do. So it was that rabbit did many tricks for them, some pranks with glue cards and itching powder confetti, while others were just plain amazing... like how he pulled one of the crowd out of a hat, one minute the rabbit was there on a bench, the next dangling in Flopsy’s hand. The crowd cheered and clapped, but the room went dark for a few minutes, everyone confused as Flopsy’s next trick went unnoticed.
The rabbit was swaying in his hand and gasped when the visor hit his face, a moan escaping him as he hung limp, rubber spreading over his face. “There we go, buddy~ Now you’re gonna be a funny bunny like me! Don’t worry, you’ll have lots of fun making others into funny bunnies too!” Flopsy was so dang happy about being a trickster now, so much better than being a normal boring rabbit, and his new friend soon agreed as he let out a moan and then started to giggle as he swelled up into a rubber bunny like Flopsy.
Soon Bubbles the rubber bunny was sitting by his honey once more, she completely aware of her boyfriend’s change, and the rubber bunny posing as one of them... soon to dump his girlfriend in exchange for a life of being a trickster. Flopsy then continued his show, his next trick to invite a volunteer to disappear off of stage to appear in the back where Spotty was waiting in the back with a visor. Life was good for trickster bunnies, and with Flopsy’s access to real magic he’d be able to pull off many tricks nobody else could~
