Possible Kezhon Recolor Pt. 3 (Opinions please)
Jesus Poe again??
Yeah... It's just that his current color does kind of bother me as I know full well that at the time I chose the color I kind of just picked something that looked right. No real thought to it. And part of me feels like I could do SOOOO much better! And also I feel like it's an awkward color and a bit tough to shade.
What I would like to do is to kind of base is coloring off of a maple tree in the fall. Or some kind of tree in the fall. Because fall has always just been my time of year. And personally, I love it when a character's have hidden traits that you may look once and miss it, but the next time you see it it's like "Oh shit! I didn't notice that!" And it just makes the character feel extra special and unique.
I was thinking that I could choose one of the base hairs, and then one of the lighter and darker colors and use those to shade and highlight, like an actual maple tree
Let me know what you think, again, sorry I am bringing this up again but anytime I think I can do something better, I will work my ass off to try and do it, if I don't it kind of bugs me.
*Also feel free to treat the legs, hair and eyes separately, kinda mix and match XD

I personally like D best, and if you use elements from C and E that would be awesome. I know what you mean about characters with hidden traits, a majority of mine have that and I love seeing it. or looking at a character and going well I wonder if they did this with it cause thats what it looks like. Either way I look forward to seeing your updates dear~!
So far it seems like B and D are the most popular ^^ I personally am fond of the darker red and the browner legs, I really want to keep him having warmer colors cause it makes him feel more welcoming as a character and nice to look at, kind of soothing. Not to mention, O'neice is cool colored so they would look great next to each other and further push the idea that they are supposed to be kind of opposite yet complementing to each other
That's awesome! I remember seeing this one character that looked super cute, I was looking at her markings thinking "Oh, that kinda looks like a beetle... holy shiznits... THAT IS A BEETLE!" Same with another character who'se markings were based off of the ones found on violins. Love those little touches!

They are nice, but compared to the animal he's based off of: https://9gag.com/gag/a6oEb8N/the-maned-wolf
maned wolves are a very beautiful rustic color, but I feel like his hair is just very dull compared to that

I am ok with his current colors, it's just that I feel they are a bit too dull for my liking and I also have the knowledge that when I first digitally colored him I kind of just slapped around the color dropper until something looked right, not much thought went into it. His ears and tail are also supposed to be a different color but I don't think it carries through that well... like... at all
I also feel like the change in color may make it easier to shade, cause I don't know about anyone else, I find it kind of awkward to shade or find copics to match it.
So far B has been the winner, followed by D, I may save D for when his hair wet or something, or even use it as shading. There is this beautiful light orange that works fabulously as a highlight
*I'm also glad that the "approachable" vibe shows, I kind of always meant him to be the equivalent to a Great Dane haha*
