When opposing forces work together in concert, we realize they are not really so opposed after all.
A sketch illustration created for the lovely hashna. We bonded a bit over our love of tribal/elemental things and we discussed a commission idea including both of those elements. A dual lighting scheme with fire and water was decided on, and this is the result!
While not intentional originally I love the duality/taoist implications the final version of this piece has. As no one should be surprised to know I really love symbolism and I think while striving for an interesting composition I sort of accidentally infused a bit of that into it, as well.
Lots of fire and lots of dancing in my gallery lately!
