Found Shanti the Rabbit really cute and wanted to draw her. But of course, it can’t go without her former fiancé joining the pic, Fangtrex. Enjoy!
It was in the time of ancient Egypt when a rattlesnake pharoah wanted a son to raise as a proud prince and teach him to be the next strong ruler of the kingdom. Luckily, when his queen laid an egg, out of it hatched a healthy male rattlesnake, who they have named Fangtrex. He was happy to be amongst his peers and family, taught to be humble and brave like the ancestors before him. He was guided on his duties by his wise mother and father, who themselves were taught by ancient elders who would look over the entire kingdom. However, Fangtrex realized that he had inherited traits that were used by his ancestors, having remarkable powers of shooting mythical energy blasts, mimicking other Mobians powers, and the most unique of them, hypnosis. These powers were from his old relatives, but were long forgotten. So much that these abilities were no longer seen as the norm in the kingdom, but more rather ridiculed for the potential harm they could do. The town secretly had a venomous lookout for Fangtrex, not hesitating to express their disliking towards him, laughing, mocking, and hurting him for being so different. One day, he was ambushed by some boys while in the streets, who were about to give the slithery prince a few punches. Suddenly, they were stopped when a young rabbit jumped into the scene, showing a few moves of her own to the troublesome boys. Fangtrex was very grateful for the rabbit’s help and was amazed by her beauty and kindness. The rabbit’s name was Shanti and since then, they grew up being the best of friends. They would hang out when the prince wasn’t too busy with his royal duties, talk to each other about their troubles and thoughts, or just mess around like Fangtrex teasingly coiling up Shanti, who would sometimes get curious about his hypnotic powers. Shanti’s father would know about their relationship, but was didn’t trust the rattlesnake and despised him like the others. The young prince was aware of this, but didn’t let it get in the way of his liking towards Shanti. It was around their older years where they began to grow feelings for one another, relieved that they both were in love. When Fangtrex was old enough to inherit the throne, he was in need of a queen to be by his side. He knew exactly who to ask and the desert beauty accepted his marriage proposal, leaving the two happily together as the new king and queen of the kingdom. Sadly, joyful moments didn’t last as the newly found power began to seep into Fangtrex’s mind as he was reminded of the years of neglect and ridicule placed upon him for being so different. In anger, he declared a hunt and execution for those who have mocked him. Shanti was surprised by the hatred and disgust that her husband maintained, wanting him to stop these heinous actions and decisions. That was when she realized that her father was the next target as he was imprisoned in the dark chambers deep below the palace, where he and many more Mobians wait for their demise. Shanti was shocked and horrified that her once beloved husband was no more and fled from the palace, afraid that Fangtrex would be so blinded in rage that he would end up killing her as well. However, the king was appalled that her queen has left him to sulk, going on a rampage through the kingdom to find his beloved. That was when he was stopped by the powerful elders that once gave guidance to his family, now punishing the chaotic prince for his horrendous ways. He was taken into a long forgotten chamber where he was completely mummified and placed into a sarcophagus, where a curse was set on him to decay endlessly unless his beloved Shanti or a descendant of hers is by his side, to be absorbed so he can restore the form he once lost. Unfortunately for him, Shanti has yet to return to him, living her life normally once again now as a loving mother as her children and grandchildren adopt the peaceful and caring customs Shanti had. Many years later, a curious explorer hears of a hidden tomb, finding a sarcophagus in the shape of a snake. The explorer opens it to see what mysteries it had kept, only to see the horror he has unleashed as Fangtrex, now a decayed zombie in rugged bandages, escapes his prison and roams to the open world, out to seek his former queen. Sadly for him, he would soon realize that she has long since passed away. Now he roams through the shadows as a hideous living corpse, striking fear into those who come across him. It was only a matter of time until he finds out that descendants of Shanti are alive and well in this modern time and who he can use to restore himself, a beautiful mother named Vanilla and her well-mannered daughter named Cream.
This is basically a somewhat extensive re-telling of Fangtrex and Shanti’s background, but since some people read my little doodle stories, might as well bring back this old tale.
