HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
It's slightly loose, only because I asked for some room since my head is so small. He's lined very well with a very soft space-patterned fabric that's very soft and comfortable, and he's extremely well ventilated! He's easy to keep cool in, very easy to breathe in, and amazingly comfortable to wear even in hot weather.
His blind spot is very, very large, and I've already tripped over one small child. His vision is almost entirely peripheral as there's a very large gap between his eyes, but so far it hasn't caused more issues than one child collision.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
The shaving is a little choppy and backing is visible in several spots at close range, but this was also the maker's first experience with using shaved fur. Typically, Cerb's suits are made from minky, so the uneven shaving overall does not detract from his appearance. His symmetry is good, and his markings are accurate to the reference despite being somewhat difficult to interpret. The fur is incredibly soft and the colors, though all similar, are distinct and his markings are easy to see. He matches the concept art well, and I'm very satisfied with how he came out!
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
Horns and beak are added. The beak is hot glued on and feels as if it may well fall off if handled roughly, but has survived some rough handling with relative ease from children and family. Horns are sturdy enough to lift the entire suit by.
The beak has one very large, very distracting seam in front, which cannot be easily fixed, as it was made with vinyl.
OVERALL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall buying experience, including your interactions with the maker and the resulting final product. How was your concept art realized?
Ekh matches the concept art perfectly, aside from missing his speckles, which I didn't require in the first place. Cerb/WolfSkinSuiting was very willing to make changes to accommodate how I wanted Ekh to look, and re-made the base several times just to match, and spent extra time being certain they got all of his colors placed properly!
How well does everything fit together and match up?
Head only, but it is relatively consistent with the maker's style! Eyes were my own replacement (I personally prefer buckram, which Cerb doesn't work with typically) and Ekh is a very unique character in shape and markings, but he looked about how I anticipated for the maker's style!
How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Sent an email for a quote, then continued contact via Twitter DMs.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
1 day at most between responses, consistently over Twitter
How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
Treated like a friend, and were overall very polite and friendly! Excellent to work with!
How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
Finished ahead of time. First base was completed mere days after the down payment -- Cerb works incredibly fast.
Are you happy with the product you received?
Very satisfied!
Describe your overall experience with this maker.
Cerb was extremely fast to complete steps, very communicative about deadlines, and very willing to make changes to be certain that Ekh was exactly how I wanted him. They were accommodating, friendly, and the final product is wonderful! I've recommended them already to several friends and would, given the chance, purchase more suit parts from them in the future.
